By Computer classes for De Anza adults

De Anza College is offering two orientation and registration sessions 1:30-3 p.m., April 20 and 27, at the Advanced Technology Center, Room 205, specifically for older adult students taking self-paced, credit computer courses this spring.

Rose Resnick Lighthouse Benefit

The second annual Rose Resnick Lighthouse for the Blind Benefit is scheduled 7:30 p.m., April 21-22, in the Stent Hall Ballroom at Menlo School. Donations are $10. For more information, call 330-2001, ext. 2256.

International School of the Peninsula gala

The International School of the Peninsula Annual Gala fund-raiser, “Spirit of the West,” is scheduled 6 p.m., April 29, at Menlo Circus Club. Entrance tickets are $75. Prize-drawing tickets are $75. Guests are asked to dress in Western-themed costumes. For more information, call 251-8522.

Shakespeare opens Friday at Foothill

The Foothill Theater Conservatory at Foothill College will stage “Shakespeare’s Lovers” for the annual One-Act Play Festival, 8 p.m., Friday through April 22, at the Studio Theater at Foothill College. A matinee performance is scheduled at 2 p.m., April 22. Tickets are $12, general; $10, students and seniors. To purchase tickets, call 948-4444.

Summer ACT Test Registration

The next ACT college admissions and placement test will be administered nationwide on June 9. Students must register by May 4. Students can register online at www.act.org.
