By Foothill holds play auditions

Foothill Music Theatre has scheduled auditions for the summer production of “Show Boat,” 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, and 7 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. Tuedsay, in the Smithwick Theater, room 1000, at Foothill College in Los Altos Hills. All actors in the production will receive a stipend.

St. Nicholas Annual Fund-raiser

St. Nicholas School is hosting its annual fund-raiser and auction, “Lights! Camera! Auction,” 6 p.m., Saturday, at the Crown Plaza Cabana, 4290 El Camino Real, Palo Alto. Tickets are $50 per person. For more information call Kathleen Twomey, 969-7463.

Rose Resnick benefit for the blind

The 2nd annual Rose Resnick Lighthouse for the Blind benefit is scheduled at 7:30 p.m., April 21 and 22, in the Stent Hall Ballroom at Menlo School. Donations are $10.

Spring Quarter Registration

‘Best unsigned band’ at Woodside

M-Pact, winners of Billboard magazine’s best unsigned band award in 1999, is scheduled to appear 8 p.m., Friday, at Woodside Priory School.

The five-member a cappella vocal group encompasses jazz and pop. They have performed with such artists as Ray Charles and Liza Minelli.
