Auteo Media, Inc. recently launched Autoloco.com, a Web site featuring more than 300,000 used vehicles and access to an estimated 8,000,000 new cars from 23,000 dealerships across the United States.

In minutes a new car shopper can propose the car of interest and get e-mail pricing and availability from any or all dealerships carrying that make in their state.

“For increasing Internet driven vehicle sales to the 23,000 subscribing dealerships from car buyers and wholesalers nationwide, we anticipate our dealers will be willing to pay us a monthly fee, beginning in fiscal year 2000,” said Steve Van Leeuwen, Auteo Media president and chief executive officer.

Van Leeuwen said Auteo Media’s goal is to make Autoloco.com one of the top automotive portals by offering customers the fastest and most descriptive search engines, one of the largest new and used car selections, informative automotive content, pricing, insurance, financing, credit reports and more.

Autoloco.com allows car shoppers across the country to view a picture of the car, the window sticker and warranty information.

“We believe Autoloco.com is the only site that not only allows shoppers to search by make and model but by type of vehicle like ‘convertible’ and keywords such as ‘Cobra,’” Van Leeuwen said. “Autoloco.com will also provide services to its dealerships such as inventory reports, Internet results and e-mail services.”

In Our Opinion

Editorial

We’ve recently covered the passing of two of this community’s most involved and committed volunteers, Lee Lynch and Billy Russell. They represented an era when people helped out, not so they could get their name on a building, but because it was simply the right thing to do.

There’s a new generation of volunteers hard at work right now in this community who are carrying on their legacy. The level of involvement in the recent Los Altos Relay For Life event bears this out.
