By Swimming success
Stanford Covington Racing Aquatics placed third last month at a meet in Arizona that included 70 teams and 1,200 swimmers. SCRA’s Brooke Bishop, a Los Altos resident, tallied the most points in the girls 13-14 age division. The Mountain View High freshman set three meet records and was on three record-setting relays. Teammate Melanie Tansuwan of Los Altos had the second-best point total among 11-12 girls. Tansuwan is a seventh-grader at Pinewood School. SCRA is coached by Scott Shea.
MV Rec leagues
The Mountain View Recreation Division is seeking teams to fill the remaining spots in its adult softball and four-on-four flag football leagues. Teams must have at least 12 players for softball and six players for football. League entry fee is $540 for men’s softball, $480 for co-ed softball and $480 for football. There’s an additional $10 fee for each player who lives outside of Mountain View. For more information, call Eric Schill at 903-6404.

The De Anza Bulldogs, a Class I, under-13 boys soccer team, seeks talented, committed players to play year-round. Birthdate must be after July 31, 1987.
