Flower children and cats prepare to fend off ghosts, goblins and ghouls at Santa Rita PTA’s 40th annual “Witches’ Delight” Halloween Carnival scheduled 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday at the school, 700 Los Altos Ave.

Santa Rita students (left to right) Kelly Simon, Kendall Simon, Kalyn Nakana and Camryn Nakano await the “spook-tacular” kickoff for this year’s Halloween.

Carnival games include “Phantom Football,” “Mummy Fingers,” “Witch Pitch,” “Horror Hoops,” and “Ghoulfish,” a game with live goldfish for prizes. The sixth-graders’ famous Haunted House dares the stout-hearted to enter. The traditional cakewalk will give away more than 80 ghoulishly decorated cakes.

“Witches Delight” is a family event - safe and fun for preschoolers through sixth graders. It is not a fund-raiser. Admission is free and game tickets are 25 cents each.
