By New restaurant coupon book
It’s primarily a coupon book for award-winning restaurants, but it also serves as an excellent fund-raiser for organizations. It’s called the City Date Book 2000.
The Los Altos Chamber of Commerce sells the coupon book for $25, and a portion of the proceeds benefits the Chamber of Commerce.
Now in its seventh year, the City Date Book is an introduction to more than 40 local restaurants. Instead of including one coupon for each restaurant, the book contains five. This encourages users to bring along friends or return for a favorite meal. Most of the restaurants allow two or three coupons per table. There are 200 gift coupons in each book, valid for the entire year.
New restaurants for 2000 are: Blake’s Steakhouse and Bar in downtown San Jose; Charley Brown’s in Sunnyvale; The Duck Club at the Stanford Park Hotel in Menlo Park; Florentine’s in Cupertino; 4290 Bistro & Bar at the Crowne Plaza Cabana in Palo Alto; Pacific Athletic Club in Redwood City; the Poolside Grille in the Sheraton Palo Alto Hotel and Tarragon in Sunnyvale.
The City Date Book 2000 is available at the Los Altos Chamber of Commerce, 321 University Ave.
Organizations wishing to use the book as a fund-raiser may call Ken Packer at (408) 865-0170. For more information, call 948-1455.
